GASTRO-PL  PANTAPRAZOLE 40MG + LEVOSULPIRIDONE 75MG

Mode of Actions:

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor drug that inhibits gastric acid secretion. It works on gastric parietal cells to irreversibly inhibit (H+/K+)-ATPase function and suppress the production of gastric acid. 

Pantoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. This medication relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough.

Levosulpiride, this medication is an antipsychotic and prokinetic agent, prescribed for dyspepsia, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Levosulpiride is a substituted benzamide antipsychotic,reported to be a selective antagonist of dopamine D2 receptor activity on both central and peripheral levels. It is an atypical neuroleptic and a prokinetic agent.Levosulpiride is also claimed to have mood elevating properties.

Indications:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease Associated With A History Of Erosive Esophagitis PROTONIX, it is indicated for short-term treatment (7 to 10 days) of adult patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and a history of erosive esophagitis.
• Safety and efficacy of PROTONIX , as a treatment of patients with GERD and a history of erosive esophagitis for more than 10 days have not been demonstrated.
• Pathological Hypersecretion Including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome PROTONIX, it is indicated for the treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome in adults.
• Levosulpiride, this medication is an antipsychotic and prokinetic agent, prescribed for dyspepsia, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
• Levosulpiride is a substituted benzamide antipsychotic,reported to be a selective antagonist of dopamine D2 receptor activity on both central and peripheral levels. It is an atypical neuroleptic and a prokinetic agent.Levosulpiride is also claimed to have mood elevating properties.
• Levosulpiride is a prokinetic which works by increasing the release of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger). This increases the movement of stomach and intestines, and prevents reflux (acid going up to the food pipe). Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and ulcers.

Side effects:

Common side effects of levosulpiride + pantoprazole are Nausea, Diarrhoea, Flatulence, Constipation, Dizziness, Headache, Sleepiness, Stomach pain
